"The sharp knife of a short life

I've had just enough time..."

- "If I Die Young" The Band Perry

I see Beauty in many things. And like the ghosts that only speak to you if you notice them, they tell me wondrous tales. With my camera and my thoughts, I captured these as faithfully as I can to share with you. And by doing so, they gave me the reasons. And though the thousand reasons may not all be sweet and some indeed bitter; they are still reasons to live. Come to think about it, that is Life, isn't it?

The Truth About Butterflies.

I've had just enough time...   to learn the truth about butterflies.

Taken in Kota Kinabalu National Park

The truth about butterflies
Besides they fly
Is how fragile
And short a life.
But the greater truth
Is what they left behind...

A Penny For Your Thoughts. Trade Them For A Dollar.

I've had just enough time to...   lament the frustrations of a teacher.

Taken at home

A penny for my thoughts, oh no I'll sell them for a dollar
They're worth so much more after I'm a goner
And maybe then you'll hear the words I been singin'
Funny when you're dead how people start listenin'
- "If I die young" The Band Perry.

For the thoughts I shared,
I've not earned, even pennies.
Maybe, they will realised its dollars they received -
If, they remember.

A Game of Thrones.

I've had enough time...   to be arrested by the intrigues of swords.

Taken at home

What painful sacrifices
For the coveted throne.
Only to discover,
The great discomfort
Of sitting on cold, hard steel.

The Best Of An Imperfect World.

I've had enough time...   to reflect on freedom and responsibility.

Taken in Jesselton, East Malaysia

And I never started to plow in my life
That someone did not stop in the road
And take me away to a dance or picnic.
I ended up with a broken fiddle—
And a broken laugh, and a thousand memories,
And not a single regret.
-" Fiddler Jones" Edgar Lee Master

Though my chains be shackled to the daily grind,
To earn our morsel of daily bread.
I will prick my ears to pause and listen
To snatches of faint music,
Have a few broken laughs
And imperfect memories,
And no time for regrets.

A Boat That Never Leave The Shore.

I've had just enough time...    to ponder about safe harborage.

Taken in Kota Kinabalu

"For love was offered me…and I shrank from its
Sorrow knocked at my door, but I was afraid:
Ambition called to me, but I dreaded the chances.
Yet all the while I hungered for meaning in my life.

To put meaning in one’s life may end in madness.
But life without meaning is the torture
Of restless and vague desire—
It is a boat longing for the sea and yet afraid. "
- "George Grey" Edgar Lee Master.

A boat that never leave the shore,
Still ends in the bottom.
Yet never sail the wide water,
For which it was intended.

Patterns Apparent Patterns Relevant Patterns.

I've had just enough time...  to try to discern patterns.

Taken at home

Not all patterns are apparent,
And not all are relevant,
The trick is to tell -
The Difference.

The Open Window.

I've had just enough time...  to talk about windows of opportunities.

Taken in Kellie Castle

The windows of opportunities
Are always open.
But do you see them
Or only a blank wall.

The Child That Was Not Left Behind.

I’ve had just enough time…  to take the young ones to see a fighting rabbit.

Taken in my favorite cinema

We were all a child once,
Then we grew up.
But we ought never to leave that child
-  far behind.

Thick, Black & Bitter.

I've had just enough time to...  taste disappointment

Taken in the office when no one is around

by little drops,
Thick, black and bitter.

Wind & Curtain.

I've had just enough time... to feel the breeze.

Taken at home

The wind lifts the curtain,
My smile,
With tales of flitting shadows
and dancing light.

My Orchid Is Not A Rose.

I've had just enough time... to see my orchids in bloom.

Taken at home

My orchid is not a rose,
But it still blooms and fades,
As does my youth,
As does the fairest maids.

I Seek A Thousand Reasons.

I've had just enough time... to look for a reason.

Taken in my room

I look for -
A thousand reasons...
All I need is one.

A Good Sleep.

I've had just enough time...  to have a good sleep.

My bed

Last night could have been be my last.
But I woke up to the sun.
Another day,
Another reason...
