ReplyDeleteI was wandering around in a handicraft shop in Kuching when I chanced upon this monkey who put a finger to its lips to hush me. “Silence” it said silently. It brought a smile to my face as I too put a finger to my lips and replied “Silence” silently. Thus, we communicate without a word and said more things that words can bring.

I love wood carving and woodworking in general, this is beautiful work!
as much as I love to carve I enjoy it even more when I see other skillful carvers,
I kinda figured it was because of heat when I was in the gulf of Persia are everyone was covered up, at 15 I thought they were nuts:-) now I know better,

Thou, so happy to read your description with this nice photo. "Silence is not the absence of sound" True because when very quiet the silence has a "sound" like a deafening roar! Silence can come about by the stilling of activity. And since what we experience is the only real, I agree, true silence is within!
