How Do I Get Out Of The Maze?

I've had just enough time to...   get out to get out of the maze.

Taken in the courtyard of Shangril-la Hotel, Kuala Lumpur

My life is a maze
And I can’t figure it out
I don’t know which step
Is in and which is out
Deep in the maze
Should I stuck it out
Or retreat to start
What if that had been shut out?
What if I am going in circle with no way out?

Am I in a maze?
How do I get out?

_______

Ferris wheels and bumper cars are fun
But those rides just aren't for everyone

Bought my ticket I'ma have a run
In the maze (WHOOOO!)

If I don't come back or right away
Give me time at least a half a day
Don't just leave me lost and blown away
In the maze (WHOOOO!)

Welcome to the Dark Carnival's amazing maze
Over 5000 ways to get in, and no way out

  1. A 1000 Reasons
I am out of the maze now. It is scary when you are in one. You do not know if you should go forward or retreat. The maze of Life is created by our indecision to deal with our troubles. One of my flickr friends, Anna not too long ago wrote to me quoting Confucius “Life is simple, it is we who makes it complicated.” I guess there is much truth in that. So I decided what is more important to me and at the same time be prepared to give something up. Without giving up something, we find there is great difficulty in moving forward. When we have decided what we can afford to give up, we found that it was not a maze but just a path.
Anna, this is for you for helping me to uncomplicate life.

Mazes can be scary. So many reasons that we can fall into one. Best to stay away from them if possible.
    Excellent capture and text.

    A 1000 Reasons
Wow! This is my 200 th post in my blog which I started just a year ago. Another 800 more to go to reach my 1000 reasons. It had been quite a ride going through moments that left a an imprint on my memory whether small or big. It is appropriate that my 200 th post be about getting out of a maze and striking out new directions which is what I will be doing soon. But it does not mean that I will not visit the past often for I do believe that we are a sum of our experiences as much as I believe living passionately for the moment and making reasonable preparations for a better tomorrow. These days, too many people emphasize just living for the moment without any attributing anything where they came from or take any responsibility for the future. I disagree with that. But then, this is just my philosophy and I don't intend to sell it to anyone :) I'm travelling further down the road of reflection and I invite you all for the ride :D

What an amazing pattern! I hope you had a nice and long walk in there. I do agree on reflecting on the past, if we don't, how do we develop as individuals? We will be committing the same mistakes now as we did back then. Congratulations on your 200th blog post! :)

Good morning, thou *~* The wisdom of Confucius is actually more specific than that we make life complicated ...rather that "man insists on making it complicated" which paints us more accurately as the stubborn ornery creatures we often choose to be, don't you think? *~* I have no wisdom, thou, I'm stuck in my own maze, travelling in circles making the same mistakes over & over again. I entered a real maze, like the one in your image, only once in my life that I recall. It was in the grounds of one of the great castles of England. Leeds Castle, perhaps. It wasn't so scary because I was with my family & though we wandered off on different paths we each knew that in the crisis of being truly lost or trapped in the maze we could call out for help. Eventually I reached the centre of the maze & was surprised to find a small simple circular enclosure with a bench for resting. It felt very much like a place for quiet meditation on the complicated journey that had got us there. And the lessons it had wrought. Sounds like that is the place your path of 'letting go" has lead you to, thou. The uncomplicated place Confucius spoke of. Congratulations. Enjoy. Use it to gather strength to tackle the next complication we 'insist' on making *~* Thank you for this beautiful gift of green. Have a peaceful weekend.

Yes beautiful and thought provoking words .
To move forward -we have to make decisions .
The past is part of that .
However -once we have chosen the route --we should not regret our choice.
    Lovely image also. .

An excellent shot of this beautiful but complex maze ! I agree....we should try to make things simpler whenever possible ...and value those things which really matter...while letting go of that which is not so importrant. . Have a great weekend :-)

Wow...that's one heck of a cop circle! ;-D
But seriously...life can be so much like a maze. And yet when we phase out of our immediate, though often temporary situations, in hindsight the best choices often were so simple and obvious.
    Like mazes...when seen from above!

    wonderful words!
I think the maze is always made by ourselves

  4. I know that this may seem like an extremely dumb question, but what happened to Diablo as a whole? When I started playing when Diablo was first put out it was one of the greatest RPG's at the time Diablo 3 Gold and is one of the greatest of all time, Diablo II was an amazing game that really shined right through in all of the areas that we wanted it to as fans. Then comes May 15, 2012 I buy "Diablo" III, I have to wait until the 17th to play, and I almost cry. The skill system is completely nerfed and changed, the loss of jewels, runes, Diablo 3 Items and etheral items is almost laughable, and they continually change the classes to what they think they should be without a thought to those of us who play them.
