"The sharp knife of a short life

I've had just enough time..."

- "If I Die Young" The Band Perry

I see Beauty in many things. And like the ghosts that only speak to you if you notice them, they tell me wondrous tales. With my camera and my thoughts, I captured these as faithfully as I can to share with you. And by doing so, they gave me the reasons. And though the thousand reasons may not all be sweet and some indeed bitter; they are still reasons to live. Come to think about it, that is Life, isn't it?

A Photographer’s Eyes

I've had just enough time to...   see with a photographer's eye

Taken outside my office one bright sunny morning...

Straw hat, blue jean
White line, long shadows
Tennis shoes, white welt
Fallen leaf, asphalt road
Long sleeves, cotton gloves
A broom in one hand
Attap spine
A dustpan in the other
Plastic light
A bright scarf of red and gold
Draped over firm shoulder

A daily scene
A moment in time
A slice of Life
A photographer’s eyes

Outside the office window one bright early morning that threw long shadows on the asphalt road littered with fallen leaves shaken by the wind last night, was a familiar scene. A sweeper going about her round sweeping the leaves off the path. But it was different that day. Was it the long shadows that flattened themselves on the gray path? Was it the humble straw hat with the red line running around the rim? Was it the deliberate but graceful movement of the sweeper intent on her task? Was it her folded blue jean at the end hovering over her flat shoes? Was it her bold scarf of red and gold that screamed – “look at me!”? What was it that made the photographer rushed to his room, pulled out his camera and rushed back for a shot? If you ask him, he may not be able to give you an answer. Except maybe, he lets his heart rules and he may not even know why…

With this – I will take a temporary leave of absence for a couple of weeks. I will be flying to the United States tomorrow night to land in Las Vegas though I don’t gamble. The lights beckon. Then I will head to the Grand Canyon which I always wanted to see. The valley beckons. After which I will fly to Kansas City. The wheat fields beckon. And I will visit the Manhattan “the little apple” to reacquaint a place of my youth. Memory beckons. It is a long journey and I hope that it will be one that will stay even longer in my memory. Will miss all of you. See you when I get back!

I like that primitive looking broom:-)
I always respected people that sweep floors or streets, there is an honest way of living and much appreciated earnings cause are harder earned,
    Lovely shot my friend!
