I've had just enough time... to chase the lizard from the peacock's head
Taken of the magnificent peacock at the entrance to Fairy Park, Klang, Malaysia
I asked
the lizard
What is
it doing
On the
peacock’s head?
The
lizard said
No one
looks at me
But all
at the peacock instead
So I
climbed on its head
The Lizard is vying for attention on the peacock's head
But they
are not looking at you
They are
looking at what on its head!
You
don’t get it, do you?
They are
still looking at the LIZARD
On the
peacock’s head
The peacock is not too pleased, who would?
But the lizard doesn't care...
Everyone is looking at it, that's all that matters to him even if it is undeserving

I know people like that. They will do all they can to get noticed. Even if it means they have to climb on people’s head. If they cannot do it one their own talent, they will beg, borrow or steal others’ talent instead. Better be a peacock than a lizard. But if you are a peacock, be careful of the lizard trying to climb on your head

A very lovely peacock statue Thou. Love the gorgeous blue colour and his expression. He certainly is a uniquely beautiful peacock set in such a lovely throne of wonderfully varied greenery. And your thoughts on this sad matter are very wise too : ))

Yes I noticed this kind of people around me and I always try to keep distance because once they realized that they can't compete with you then they will try their very best to damage you:(

Excellent image and words ! Indeed a beautiful peacock ....such a lovely shade of blue . And ...it is true ...many of us try to 'bathe in the reflected glory of others' . I think we should realize that we can not all be peacocks ....but all creatures do have their own unique beauty ....including lizards ! So ....accept yourself for what you are ....and you will be happier and wiser
