I danced in silence till I feel the sun kissed my closed eyelids and opened them to the glorious lights climbing over the distant mountain peaks. I saw its smiles brightened up the whole valley shaking it from its slumber, rousing and stirring up Life. The valley becomes alive before my very eyes but I wonder how is it I saw all these when they were too far away for me to make out the details. But I saw the farmer leaving the house, I saw the housewife cooking the breakfast and I saw the dogs exploring the street. And the sounds. I hear them all. The rooster making their morning calls, the barking dogs and braying goats. Did I imagined them or did the sun share this insight with me as it infused me with its life-giving lights. For it was still silent at the edge of the hill where I stood and the valley is miles and miles away…

I spread out my arms and greedily soaked in the lights. Even at this intense and inspiring moments, some thoughts intruded. Shouldn’t I be living this way, every day? Every moment of joy brought me closer to the moment I had to reluctantly leave. I want this to last forever but I know it is impossible. I expelled the intruding thoughts with a strong exhale and breathed in fresh air. I am happy at this moment and that is all that counts. Enjoy it to the full, unadulterated. There will time enough for sadness when the time for leaving comes…

maccu piccu..... in the morning... the clouds rise from below the peak.. envelope you...the continue to rise...to the sky above... and i think of the ancient peoples who lived there....
the space at maccu piccu is somewhat enclosed by other mountains...it is not so high as where you are here... so the whole feeling is "nestled" into the earth
in this photo... i am struck by how very very tiny we are... rather like when Rilke calls the stars and constelations..."mere pollen of the blossoming Diety"...
