I've had just enough time to... dream of elephants.
Found this colourful elephant during one of my aimless wandering in Bangkok
I dreamt of elephants
One stood in my way
And would not budge
No matter how I pushed
And huffed and puffed
I used all my strength plus my will
But what is it to an elephant’s bulk
There are things that cannot be pushed
Like an elephant that refused to move
I walked to the elephant’s ear
Whispered into it earnestly
And saw its eyes blinked
It listened to the stories
Dredged from my belly
Pushed itself off the ground
And walked away just like that
I dreamt of elephants and learnt
The only way you can move an elephant
Is to move its heart
_______
The Elephant Song - Kamahl
Tell me said the elephant
Tell me brothers if you can
Why all the world is full of creatures
Yet we grow in fear of man
Tell me said the elephant
tell me why this has to be
we have to run from man and hunter
never safe and never free

A 1000 Reasons
In recent years I’ve been given a task to start a new entity and to transform one at the same time. Both have its share of great difficulties and frustrations. The new project is up and running and hold great promises for all who put their hearts into it. But the old entity is like a giant elephant that refused to budge. And it is too large to push with my puny strength. So I spent a lot of time talking to it hoping that it will move on its own accord. Have you even seen an elephant whisperer? It is actually quite a ridiculous sight and the elephant whisperer is often a man of ridicule doing a thankless job that no one wanted. Be a horse or even a dog whisperer but don’t an elephant whisperer be.

This was taken during one of my aimless wandering through the street of Bangkok. I do that often - aimless wandering. Many people cannot understand the purpose of purposeless travelling. Well, it is simple. The purpose is no purpose! You lost me? Well, if you don't understand this by now, I guess you never will, sorry :))

Travel without purpose is the most interesting of travel ....to set out with no purpose is to be totally open to whatever the journey may offer, whether it be an elephant or an escalator, a door to open or a stranger to meet. Stop, go, change direction ...without purpose impulse & instinct lead the way & destination reveals itself spontaneously. A grand way to travel, thou, I agree. The elephant that won't budge is another story ... fear is what keeps both elephants & people static ...you must convince him to let go of the fear & trust the new instinctive entity to lead the way *~*
Oh, the Beatles were very much a part of my young life in Liverpool, thou. My teen hangout was the Cavern Club & the still-unknown John, Paul, George & Stuart were the house band providing music for the kids to dance to. Epstein had not yet walked through the door & rewritten their destiny.

Which body hears the balance 6,900? Or they just get ...

OM !!! Thank God I found some space after all these rich comments to write a few words about your delightful elephant image with the elaborate decorative patterns and your reflections on the aimless wandering ,Thou !!!
Love the elepant's huge figure, its meek nature and of course its slow paced movement in the course of its life.
No wonder it's the symbol of wisdom and patience !
We should budge and try to catch up our breath occasionaly my friend and your aimless rambling around gave you a good chance to see the other side of the coin without the rigid, merciless organization in every single moment of our life ...
Eventually,it was a purposeless wandering which came up to meet and serve all the intents and purposes ...
Whoa, this can be lovely. Picture all of the studying along with creating you could do this... Frosty during the cold months even though.
