"The sharp knife of a short life

I've had just enough time..."

- "If I Die Young" The Band Perry

I see Beauty in many things. And like the ghosts that only speak to you if you notice them, they tell me wondrous tales. With my camera and my thoughts, I captured these as faithfully as I can to share with you. And by doing so, they gave me the reasons. And though the thousand reasons may not all be sweet and some indeed bitter; they are still reasons to live. Come to think about it, that is Life, isn't it?

The Back of A Business Woman is Made of Steel.

I've had just enough time to...  admire the back of strong women.

Taken on the strong back of a business woman in the fruit market in Hanoi.

An old bicycle
A few plastic pots hanging
A metal rack
Holding a few green plants
She is in business.

The back of a business woman is made of steel.

Another strong back and strong shoulders too. Can you carry those weights throughout the day?

Her back may have bended double from age and weight over the years but hers is the strongest back of all for she carried her entire family on it. And she is still doing it.

I was in the fruit market of Hanoi where I saw the vast majority of the traders and workers are women. All work whether easy or tough are carried out by these tough women. This is hardly surprising as Vietnam is one of the few countries where the war of independence (from the Chinese) are led by two women. And they won the initial battles before they lost to overwhelming numbers. But their struggle was not in vain as Vietnam rose up and defeated their enemies from the inspiration of their strong women. There are no short of examples in the market and here is one. How many men (with their fragile pride) would be able to eke out an existence with so little.

Intriguing and complex composite strikingly presented,Thou !!!
You employed engaging historic and socio-economic references to anatomise the realistic nature of the impressive image and to support the ideology of "gynecocracy" ...
Indeed, hard working women struggling around-the-clock to make ends meet. I assume it was the ruthless course of war that taught them to be tough and strong enough, with a great disposition of "will ".
I don't want to favour sexism, nevertheless I consider the trite cliche phrase, " The Fair Sex ", quite an ingenious euphemism... Powerful words to describe women would probably break their fragile pride ...
