"The sharp knife of a short life

I've had just enough time..."

- "If I Die Young" The Band Perry

I see Beauty in many things. And like the ghosts that only speak to you if you notice them, they tell me wondrous tales. With my camera and my thoughts, I captured these as faithfully as I can to share with you. And by doing so, they gave me the reasons. And though the thousand reasons may not all be sweet and some indeed bitter; they are still reasons to live. Come to think about it, that is Life, isn't it?

I Fell In Love With The Guitar Man

I've had just enough time to...   fell in love with the guitar man.

Taken in a hotel in Johore Bahru advertising the presence of the guitar man

I fell in love with the guitar man
Or is it his music?
I cannot tell which when he is playing.
The guitar man has me at his finger tips.

How can I love a man so much –
When he is playing?
And love him so little
When he stops?

Please don’t let the music stop
Please don’t let the music stop
Don’t let it stop…

_______

Who draws the crowd and plays so loud,
Baby it's the guitar man.

Who's gonna steal the show, you know
Baby it's the guitar man,

He can make you love, he can make you cry
He will bring you down, then he'll get you high
Somethin' keeps him goin', miles and miles a day
To find another place to play.

Have you been to a life act and fell in love with a performer? Come on, don’t lie; sure you have. This is to all the women and men (take your pick) that we have fallen in love while watching them play. What is it about life performance that takes your breath away? I’ve a songwriter, singer, producer, friend (I hate him! :D) who once told me that there is an intimacy in life act that no other medium can duplicate. But what about the ‘real’ man/woman in our life? When the music stopped and the stage went dark, will we still feel the same way about them?

Oola, this is for you for introducing me to all those wonderful music. You keep playing the music too - in your canvas.

As a matter of fact I always fall in love with my Guitar:-) I prefer the classical but its been
few weeks since I picked one, my grandchildren when they are here they do like to strum them and put them out of tune:-)
Seriously I love to hear other play and some can do magic with their fingers,

Amazing photo! I think what makes me love certain musicians is a mix of their dedication, talent and enthusiasm, there's a nice charm to it :)

Well thou, I think the ultimate song about this condition you speak of, falling in love with a musician as he plays, is "Killing Me Softly" . A huge hit for Roberta Flack in '73 but was actually written for Lori Lieberman about her first experience of hearing Don McLean sing live. ( Saw him live myself once, many moon's ago, in an intimate outdoor stage setting. He was utterly compelling to be sure though he didn't steal my soul as he did Lori's *~*)

Link to Flack's version but I'll find the lyrics also : www.youtube.com/watch?v=O1eOsMc2Fgg

Strumming my pain with his fingers
Singing my life with his words
Killing me softly with his song
Killing me softly with his song
Telling my whole life with his words
Killing me softly with his song
I heard he sang a good song
I heard he had a style
And so I came to see him
    To listen for a while
And there he was this young boy
    A stranger to my eyes
Strumming my pain with his fingers
Singing my life with his words
Killing me softly with his song
Killing me softly with his song
Telling my whole life with his words
Killing me softly with his song
I felt all flushed with fever
    Embarassed by the crowd
I felt he found my letters
And read each one out loud
I prayed that he would finish
But he just kept right on
Strumming my pain with his fingers
Singing my life with his words
Killing me softly with his song
Killing me softly with his song
Telling my whole life with his words
Killing me softly with his song
He sang as if he knew me
    In all my dark despair
And then he looked right through me
    As if I wasn't there
And he just kept on singing
    Singing clear and strong
Strumming my pain with his fingers
Singing my life with his words
Killing me softly with his song
Killing me softly with his song
Telling my whole life with his words
Killing me softly with his song

  4. i love to hear people sing with the guitar.
I think the original teams from Diablo, D2, and LOD should come back and revamp this before more people quit playing. This is Diablo 3 Gold supposed to be a sequel not an entirely different game with crap that makes us want to quit, but we are too loyal to the franchise to quit, or we are hoping for a true fix for all of these problems. Blizzard please give us our game back,I have a small suggestion that will improve game play for a number of people and would require very little implimentation and programming!! Why not include skill timers with the 3% mf/gf with the paragon system Buy Diablo 3 Gold. As a demon hunter I find myself always dying as my few second survivability skills just arent long enough.

  5. The guitar is truly a beautiful instrument to play. I've been learning for awhile, however, still struggle with guitar tuning without the use of an aid. Do you have any tips?
